PES 2009 Editing - How does it work?

First of all here's a little overview of the new img files used by PES 2009 (all can be opened with GGS 7.40 and AFS Explorer 3.7)

The files are:

How to import chants: (same format as in PES 2008)
Just import the files of the chantpack into cs0d.img (look here for more info)

How to import emblems: (same format as in PES 2008 (128x128 & 64x64 px)
Just drag the emblem files you want to import over the logos in cv0a.img via GGS 7.40


How to import balls: (same format as in PES 2008)
Just overwrite the existing files in cv01.img with GGS or AFS Explorer (you may need to rebuild the img (more info at the bottom))



How to import kits: (new format (1024x 512 px)
Just drag the kits you want to import over the kits in cv06.img (for exact positions look above)
Some kits can be found here


How to import faces: (new format (PES 2008 don't work in PES 2009 (yet))
Overwrite the the faces in cv06.img with GGS or AFS Explorer


How to import boots: (same format as in PES 2008)
Just overwrite the existing files in cv06.img with GGS or AFS Explorer (you may need to rebuild the img (more info at the bottom))



How to rebuild the img
Sometimes the file you want to import is bigger than the file you want to overwrite.
Then you need to rebuild the img file.
With GGS 7.40
  1. Open the img file e.g. cv0a.img
  2. Click "Deferred Mode" (above the image viewer next to "Real Time"
  3. Import the files you want to import
  4. Click "Apply changes and rebuild" and save the new file to the img folder of PES 2009
  5. Rename the old file to e.g. cv0a_old.img and cv0a_REBUILT.img to cv0a.img
With AFS Explorer 3.7
  1. Open the img file e.g. cv0a.img
  2. Put all files you want to import into a new folder
  3. Click "Action-Import Folder", select the created folder
  4. Select a new file name e.g. cv0a_new.img
  5. Rename the old file to e.g. cv0a_old.img and cv0a_new.img to cv0a.img
